      Marine Pfc. Fred Vanover 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Vanover, of Louellen was killed in action in the Pacific.He entered the service in August 1942 and leaving employment as a miner with Cornett-Lewis Coal Company, Louellen.
     Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Pfc Jack Vanover, who is back in the states after serving with the army in the Pacific, and Bill Vanover, Louellen, and two sisters, Mrs J. C. Cartmill, Cumberland and Mrs Alberta Kalley, Closplint.
